Why am I unable to record programming with my DVR? Do I have enough disk storage space?

A standard DVR can record up to 40 hours of standard programming. Actual recording time varies depending on the type of program being recorded. A Time Warner Cable HD-DVR set-top box can record up to 80 hours of Standard Definition programming and up to 35 hours of HD programming.

The Interactive Guide doesn’t show the exact amount of remaining storage memory for your DVR, but it does show the percentage of storage currently used.  It will alert you if a show fails to record because of a lack of available storage.  If the indicator (located below the video preview window when in the recorded show list view) indicates greater than 90% full and you have many recordings set as “do not record”, you will need to manually delete recordings in order to avoid future recording failures.
